Georgia 18 is an organization that deals with restoring all rights that are prohibited from the 18-20 age with a major focus on the drinking age. We focus on lobbying the state general to restore the rights guaranteeded by the United States Consitution. We accomplish our goal by forming grassroots colations of students and other concerend citizens throughout the state.
To overturn all laws that do not put everyone 18 or older on the same level. For example, a 21 year old drinking age.
To overturn the 7 deadly sins acts on the 13-16 age group in Georgia.
To keep juvenials tride under juvenial law codes until more equal treatment is given to the under 18 class.
To provide students of atleast age 18 the same rights at highschools or colleges as would be given to them in the workforce.
To offer every poltician in our state a chance to sign either a pledge stating approval for the 18 yearold drinking age or a plege stating that they approve of the entire Georgia 18 mission.
To grade every member of the Georgia General Assembly on how well they support Georgia 18's mission.
To get Senator Saxby Chambliss, Senator Johhny Isakason, Leuitant Governor Casey Cagle, Governor Sonny Perdue, and all candidates for these men's posistions to sign our a pledge of support.
To create a grassroots movement through colleges and highschools to advance the mission of Georgia 18.
To aggresivley work to raise support across the state for Georgia 18's mission among Georgia citizens.
